Landscape or portrait, MipiPlus 5.5” fills the gap

By Frank Ploenissen | 30 June 2023

Thin, light, low power, low brightness, our industrial customers have fully embraced the MipiPlus range for its excellent value and our ability to integrate it into their products seamlessly. So, it will come as no surprise that we are able to offer another new addition to our ever-growing portfolio.

Today we can announce that the MipiPlus will now include a 5.5” version. It may be small (only 13.97cm!) but it is mighty, boasting a wide format MIPI DSI display with higher speed and greater functionality when compared to the standard RGB or LVDS interfaces. It has high brightness and an industrial temperature range, making it ideal for indoor applications. Think video doorbells, small home automation control panels or handheld video appliances.

Its compact dimensions offer HD (720×1280) resolution with a wide viewing angle which can be rotated into landscape mode, making HD video viewing another excellent possibility.

As with all our MipiPlus family, its touch functionality is integrated in the module, and the 1.8 mm protective front glass with neutral black border print gives the display an attractive and sleek design. MipiPlus 5.5” can also be directly connected to many modern microcontrollers and microprocessors.
