The customer’s original display solution encountered major technical issues, even after a pilot build, and they needed a new DTC‑based alternative using a different TFT cell. As alternative solution they asked for a DTC solution with another TFT cell. After 18 months of development, we were able to overcome all difficulties (including extreme temperatures, aging tests, cold power-up, vibrations & shock tests, EMI, solar radiations, etc.) and passed the qualification tests to comply with the customer’s requirements. Avnet Displays secured the win by delivering a more cost‑effective and technically robust solution.
