The customer asked for a sunlight and night readable display with better optical performance than the running one. They needed low power consumption and ruggedness for his handheld, battery powered underwater device.

The Solution

We suggested a transflective TFT with optical bonded PMMA cover lens to overcome IK08 & mechanical requirements. Our fast sample, the technical solution and the reasonable price convinced.

The Result

The customer developed a very unique device that is working in all temperatures, under and above the water, needs just low power and is readable in all ambient light conditions.
