The SimplePlus family just keeps growing – and this time we’re welcoming twins! By popular demand, we’re introducing two new 6.95” touch displays which might look similar on the surface but, like all twins, have quite different personalities.
But first, let’s look at what they have in common. Touch functionality, of course, and a wide viewing angle, which is always welcome for its clear view of the display from many different positions. Ever reliable and flexible, both can operate in temperatures ranging from -30 to 80° Celsius.
Their data connection is via a 24-bit LVDS interface, and both have their LED drivers on board. A regular coverlens with a black border print protects their touch sensor with USB interface.
So, how on earth do we tell them apart?
Well, in short, one display enjoys a shady spot and the other sings in the sun. In technical terms, this means that the first offers 500 nits TFT brightness – ideal for indoor environments where overhead lighting or bright ambient light is available. Think offices, retail, medical settings, factories and warehouses. It’s sibling, however, loves the great outdoors, offering 1200 nits of beautiful brightness which is perfect for anywhere there is intense or direct overhead lighting, such as outdoor kiosks, construction sites, dashboards and more.
As with all our SimplePlus touch displays, a plug-and-play display interface card is optional.
